An independent clinical assessor rates every claim.
The clinical assessment partner is independent of nownow. It obtains the records and rates whole person impairment on the AMA Guides. nownow never rates a claim itself.

Who we are
Evander Obi
Founder and Chief Executive
Evander founded nownow to give patients a fair, fast answer when treatment goes wrong. He leads the company, the product and the insurance partnerships. An admitted attorney with experience in M&A and private equity law at international law firms. He holds an LLB from the University of Johannesburg and an LLM in Corporate Law from the University of Cape Town.
Mogomotsi Phage
Chief Financial Officer
Gomi leads the financial model, pricing and the reinsurance programme, and is responsible for the company's finances and reporting. An actuarial science graduate of the University of Cape Town with experience across reinsurance and insurance, including in-force management and life insurance.
Brett Kanichowsky
Chief Relationship Officer
Brett leads nownow's relationships with distribution partners, the clinical assessment partner and the insurer, and runs the claims process end to end. A partnerships and business development leader with a background in technology leadership.
